LIFE in COLOURS 2012 Exhibition in Hawaii
LIFE in COLOURS is a project originated from the ideas of Akihiko Izukura, a natural
textile artist, proposing many ideas of dyeing and weaving based on the ancient view of life
and nature in Japan and through extensive research of the history of the art of dyeing and
weaving.
LIFE in COLOURS will be held in Hawaii, where we can witness the beautiful coexistence
of people living within nature, sense of spaciousness of the natural environment and the
rigorousness behind it. We will also witness the radiant sun and abundant colours found
in the island, as well as the many gods living within natural environment. The exhibition in
Hawaii is a great opportunity for Akihiko Izukura, as a natural textile artist, to be reborn and
to offer the stage to reunite man, nature and fabrics.EXHIBITS
